Severe weather procedures

We try our utmost to keep our school open when we experience extreme weather conditions but sometimes, for health and safety or staffing reasons, we have to close.

The Headteacher will make the decision about closing the school and the following system will operate around 7.30am:

• An email will be sent to parents
• A message will be posted on our school Facebook page.
• An announcement will be posted on the school website
• Remote learning will be emailed to parents for the day.

We will only make announcements if we are going to close or part close

Areas to be gritted 

• A pathway from main school gate to the playground 
• Staff car park

Children will enter through the main reception area if it is deemed too icy for them to enter the playground.
