Roald Dahl Dress Up Day 2016

13th September 2016
Roald Dahl Day 2016
Today marked 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl and we celebrated in style.  The children and staff came to school dressed as one of the characters from his many books.  The costumes were fabulous.  We made the most of the lovely sunny weather and started our day with a parade around our playground.  I have never seen so many Oompa Loompas in Dilton Marsh before. Following on from our parade each class then undertook different activities throughout the day based on Roald Dahl and his many different stories.  Well done to everyone who came dressed up and gave donations towards Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity - look out in this weeks newsletter for the amount we raised.
