OUTSTANDING SIAMS Inspection October 2017

1st November 2017

On Thursday 12th October we had a SIAMS inspection that was conducted by Mr Neil Revell.  During the day he spent time talking to the children, staff, parents and governors as well as observing a Collective Worship and conducting a walkthrough and observations around the school in order to arrive at a judgement.

As part of the inspection we were judged on the distinctiveness and effectiveness of Dilton Marsh as a Church School, how the school through its distinctive Christian character meets the needs of all learners, the impact of collective worship on the school community and the effectiveness of leadership and management of the school.

I am delighted and extremely proud to announce that we received a grade of “OUTSTANDING” across ALL areas.  This is a huge testament to the hard work of all the children, staff, parents and Academy Council members of the school.

About SIAMS

All Church of England Dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The framework sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 and provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are “distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions”.
